Vistral Studio Loom is a studio where models make the calls a director makes. Not a clip emitted from a prompt — structure, scenes, composition, typography, motion and timing, authored as a program and rendered by Loomgine.

Loom is in development and there is nothing to sign up for yet. Loomgine is being built now, and the Lab publishes what it makes along the way.

01Loomgine

How a brief becomes frames.

Loomgine is what Loom runs on: a system for authoring video as a program instead of sampling it as pixels. Seven stages, and each one produces something the next stage can read, a person can inspect and a model can correct.

    Intent becomes a decision

    A model reads the brief and makes the calls a director makes: what the piece is, how it opens, what each beat has to accomplish.

    Planning

    Decision becomes a structure

    The direction is resolved into scenes: how many, how long, what each one carries and how one hands over to the next.

    Assets

    The piece acquires material

    Media is gathered or generated to fit the plan — resolved against what each scene needs, not collected first and justified later.

    Composition

    Scenes become a program

    Layout, layers, typography and hierarchy are authored as an addressable document — every property named, reachable and re-editable.

    Motion

    The program acquires time

    Timing, easing and transition are properties of the composition — designed against a timeline, not sampled out of noise.

    Validation

    Checked before it costs a frame

    Legibility, overflow, contrast, safe areas, duration and continuity are verified — and the failures are corrected, not reported.

    Rendering

    Deterministic output

    The validated document is rasterised. The same input produces the same frames — every time, at any scale.

Status

Loom is in development.

There is no product to try yet and nothing to sign up for. What exists is Loomgine — and the Lab, where the engine's output is published as it is built. That is the honest state of things, and it is the most interesting part.
